Synch Google Calendar to Notion Database without replicating entries & have Google Calendar Name as input into data field?

Hey,
I would like to synch my google calendar entries (I have several google calendars) into a Notion database. Everytime I run it it replicates everything I have already saved into my database. Is there a possibility without having to put a start and end date (when I do that it doesn´t find a single entry) to run the automation without it replicating what has already been saved in the database?

Also - I would need the Calendar Name to be able to be an INPUT field into the OUTPUT field in the Notion databse. Is this a possibility? So I don´t have to tag every single entry from a specific calendar.

Shared Playbook Template this is my current playbook, I have been playing around with the changes but couldn´t figure out how to exclude replicas or set the calendar name as a single entry in Notion.

I don´t want to use any 2-way-synch possiblity as I don´t want anything changed in Notion to be changed in google calendar.

Help is grately appreciated!

Best,
Isis

Hi Isis,

To implement duplicates check I can suggest you add a loop to your automation and FIND action for Notion. Please take a look at this example setup:

Regarding your other question “Also - I would need the Calendar Name to be able to be an INPUT field into the OUTPUT field in the Notion databse. Is this a possibility? So I don´t have to tag every single entry from a specific calendar.”, I am not sure if I understand it correctly. Could you please clarify?

Looking forward to your reply.
Victoria
