I have a website of jazz concerts. I create this list by scraping jazz venues. As a next step, I would love to be able to automatically create posts on Instagram of upcoming concerts. For example based on a Google Sheets list that holds content (e.g. image url, venue, date, etc), etc. Im assuming this is not possible just yet. Is this already on your ideas list?
Hi Bob,
Technically we have a solution for that, even 2:
- Create a scraper that opens “create post” page and follows “click” and “input” actions to insert necessary data. This solution is not an ideal option just because such a scraper will not be able to read response of the website and let you know if post was created or not for some reason.
- Use instagram API and our HTTP POST action to create new posts. This solution may work for advanced users, but as far as I know the features like HTTP POST request are decided to be deprecated. We do not remove them, just there’s no more support/maintenance for them.
As far as I know, no other type of instagram integration is planned for now.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
