I set up an automation to send me an email each week with a digest of my events calendar, highlighting event names and attendees. The automation can be seen below. The digest email I received today was totally blank. How do I resolve this issue?
Hello Elena,
It seems that the Start and End dates in your calendar search action might not be set correctly. If your intention was to pull events starting from last Friday, you might want to try using “Last Friday” as the date parameter. Additionally, I recommend using the Merge Text action to compile the events before sending them for a summary. This way, you can avoid receiving separate emails for each event.
Also, I am not sure about the part for pulling “all calendar events”. If you do not need to filter events by title, I can recommend leaving that field blank.
If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Hi Victoria,
Thanks for your help. I was wondering if you could send me screenshots of the full automation to generate a weekly digest of Gcal events and attendees each week, for the past week. If successful, my company will choose Bardeen for this service, however I have had trouble getting the automation to function properly.
Please let me know if this is possible,
Elena
Hello Elena,
Thank you for reaching out again.
Here is the playbook that you can use to generate a weekly digest of your Google Calendar events and attendees: Weekly Digest Playbook. Simply pin it to your account and modify it as needed.
Please ensure that the settings for the email subject and calendar period align with your requirements. Currently, the playbook is set to pull events from last Wednesday to the current Wednesday. If you need any specific adjustments, feel free to share your requirements, and I’ll be happy to assist you. Additionally, check the prompt of the OpenAI action to confirm it includes all the necessary information.
To test this playbook immediately without waiting for the next scheduled run, you can change the “When” action (the first one) to start “Now” and it should send the first email within the next few minutes.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Hi Victoria,
Thank you for all the help. I wanted to test run the automation and changed the “When” action to “Now” without any success. Then I changed it to 2PM EST but still did not receive an email. I really need one test email before purchasing premium. Let me know how I should properly test this automation.
Thank you,

Hi Victoria,
Thanks for your help earlier. Unfortunately, I noticed that the list of participants generated only included names of attendees specified in the title of a meeting, and not a list of all of the attendees invited to a calendar event. How should I restructure the merge text function to resolve this? I set up a meeting Friday if that would be easier as well, but any advice over email so this could be resolved more quickly would be appreciated as well.
Hi Victoria,
I understand it might be the end of your day but I tried to join the 9:30 EST call for today (Aug 9) and the zoom link was invalid. Please point me to where/how I should set up calls in the future.
Thank you,
Elena

Hello Elena,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer additional meetings to free users at this time. However, I have reviewed your request and made the necessary adjustments to the playbook, which you can find here: Adjusted Playbook.
To display the list of email addresses of attendees, I have added an additional action:
If you need to further customize the output, you can modify the prompt for the “Get summary” action, as shown here:
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out.
