How to Trigger Automation When a New Calendly Event is Added to Google Calendar?

Hey Bardeen team,

I’m trying to set up an automation:

  1. When someone books a call through Calendly, it appears on my Google Calendar.
  2. I want Bardeen to trigger when this new event is created.
  3. Then, it should extract details (names, date, phone, etc.) and add them to a Google Doc.
  4. It should also search my Gmail for any emails from this person (to pull extra details, like how they found me).
  5. Bonus: If possible, I’d love it to Google their name and grab any relevant info (LinkedIn, company, etc.).

I looked for a “When a new event is created” trigger for Google Calendar, but I don’t see it—only options to find or get events. What’s the best way to make this work in Bardeen? Can Bardeen do some of this at least?

Would love any guidance! Thanks in advance. :rocket:

Hi Ben,

Bardeen indeed can be used to automate the flow you described! But, it looks like you are looking in “actions” while that option is in “triggers”:

Thank you! Is there an action to extract info from the calendar invite?

Hi Ben,

The trigger “When event created…” already includes event details. When you connect actions to this trigger, you should be able to map them to specific fields. Is there any specific information you would like to extract?
