Scrape data from URL's in a google sheet and extract key information

Hey there! First of all merry christmas!

I’m a complete beginner with Bardeen.

I have a google sheet with hotel website links from Apollo. I want to extract from the link the type of hotel (boutique, budget, etc…) and the number of rooms.

If it’s not possible, then I just need some keywords about the website home page.

Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Thank you!

Hi @alois.fierro, Welcome to the Bardeen Community  Merry Christmas! :christmas_tree:

This is possible by using the following options:

  1. Get table from Google Sheet
  2. Scrape Data in the Background
  • create a single page scraper template from one of the links that contains all of the information you’d like to grab from each link
  • it’s best to set a 3-4 second delay in this action to allow each page to load fully before the scraper runs

Please let me know if you have any questions or need more information.
Thank you,
Jess

Thanks Jess !

Hi Aloïs,

Could you confirm if the links you’d like to scrape are of the same layout ? i.e are the all from a particular platform like Booking.com ? In that case it will be straightforward to build a scraping template and we can guide you here.

It sounds like all the websites have a different layout since it is the hotel’s website though. In which case we have a web agent that can scrape websites for keywords or certain information provided it is available on the homepage.

In step 2 of Jess’ solution, you could instead use the ‘Execute actions in background’ action as illustrated in my screenshot below. Let me know if you need more help configuring this. Happy automating !
