OpenAI "Summary" of email is longer than the email itself

I created a step for OpenAI to summarize emails, but the summary ends up being longer than the email itself, very wordy, and not a summary at all. I put “brief” “short” “in two sentences” “less than 20 words” as options for the prompt, but those clarifiers are ignored, and the summaries are still super long.
